This may turn into a blog about everything that's wrong with the US government (I wonder how long until I hear Homeland Security knocking on my door?).
Anyway, today's tale of government excess involves a federal program providing legal aid for the poor, paid for with taxpayer dollars, that turns away half its applicants due to lack of resources, yet still manages to find money for lavishly furnished offices, pricey meals, foreign travel, and chauffeur-driven rides. All on your dime.
